La Chicca — Florence, Sant'Ambrogio
Fresh seafood in Florence
Fresh seafood from the Tuscan coast, cooked the way a traditional seafood restaurant wouldn't. Tartare, lobster linguine, lobster tacos and the catch of the day, at Via dei Macci 79R, Sant'Ambrogio.

Seafood with a creative twist
Our seafood comes from the Tuscan coast, and in the kitchen it goes places a traditional seafood restaurant wouldn't take it: cacio e pepe calamari, scallops with ceviche mayo, lobster tacos with half a lobster.
And the classics are done properly: lobster linguine, tagliolini with clams and bottarga, rice-flour fried seafood. The pasta is made in-house every day and the kitchen is open.
If you like your fish simple, there's the catch of the day, salt-baked or grilled, sold by weight. And to start, Gillardeau oysters.
We're in Sant'Ambrogio, which for many Florentines is still the city's last authentic neighborhood: one minute from the market, away from the routes built for tourists.

"Hands down, the best restaurant in Florence! I never thought I'd eat the best fish of my life so far from the sea… Welcoming atmosphere, wonderful staff and out-of-this-world food! I don't think you could ask for anything better!"
"Everything was wonderful, from the welcome to the smile of everyone who works here. The fish is delicious and beautifully prepared. Vincenzo and Marco guide you through an exquisite evening. Excellent value for money. I invite everyone to try it. Thank you so much, guys"
"In a perfect balance between fine dining and contemporary art, this seafood restaurant manages to turn a simple dinner into a multisensory experience. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by an intimate atmosphere curated down to the smallest detail: the soft lighting, the elegant furnishings and the artworks displayed between the tables create a setting that invites contemplation even before the first taste. The menu, a tribute to the sea, stands out for the superb quality of its ingredients and the originality of its dishes. Every plate is a small masterpiece. The catch of the day, served with an almost poetic delicacy, melts in your mouth. The service is impeccable: discreet but always there, with a knowledgeable, passionate staff who can guide you through the wine list and enthusiastically tell you the story behind every dish... and even behind some of the artworks on display. A special mention goes to the way food and art come together: the works change periodically and are often for sale, making the restaurant a small gallery as well. Such a pairing of taste and beauty is rare, but here it feels natural. Ideal for a special evening or for anyone looking for more than just a dinner: here both the palate and the soul are nourished."
